The AVS816HDA is an HD SD SDI video switcher with Analog audio follow This unit is a wide bandwidth videoaudio vertical interval switcher designed for the video professional in mind It features compact modular design which allows it to handle HD SD SDI video and analog audio The unit has sixteen channels of HD SD video and stereo audio Digital and analog switching modules for both video and audio may be mixed in any combination for complete system flexibility The inputs are nonlooping and offer outstanding return loss performanceFor HD SD digital applications an optional analog monitoring output is available for analog audio Audio and video breakaway are selected by a single switch on the front panel Dual LEDs on the source selection and follow switch indicate follow or breakawayThe AVS816HDA allows the user to efficiently and economically route or delegate multiple video and audio signals The analog audio inputs use standard 3pin Weco connectors The Weco 3pin connectors are fast disconnect for ease of setup The analog audio IO features full transformer isolation to eliminate the possibility of ground loop interference Switching is accomplished during the vertical Interval by using the vertical sync derived from the video at the output stage In a similar fashion digital audio switching takes place during the audio sample preamble Up to 32 switchers can be controlled by the computer softwareThe AVS816HDA may be controlled by a serial data feed of either RS232 or RS422485 interface standards selectable by a simple internal DIP switch A remote control panel is also available which utilizes the common RJ11 modular connector along with the RS485 interface standard For automated system applications an optional GPI interface is available The serial communication protocol is compatible with existing Link video and audio switchers and remote control panels For integration into existing systems the AVS816HDA can be preset to respond to that instruction set as wellThe AVS816 comprises of the chassis motherboard and power supply only You must select the video matrix and audio follow to make up the desired switching requirements You have the choice of analog or SD SDI video or analog or AES audio In the case of AES audio you have the option of BNC unbalanced or Plugin 3pin Weco balanced connectors Software is supplied with all AVS series to control up to 32 switchers from a single computer See the specific data sheets for that meets your requirements A remote control is available for the unit model PSR816 The plugin choices are AVS816 Chassis power supply and motherboard 816OPA Analog video matrix 16X1 816OPB Analog audio matrix 16X1 816OPC SDI video matrix 16X1 816OPD AES audio matrix 16X1 816OPE AES rear panel for Weco 3pin connectors 816OPF AES rear panel for BNC connectors 816OPF GPI option
